Who We Are
We believe timely, high-quality production and honest service should come before all else.
EMI was founded in early 1990 by one man and a handful of workers. The company at one point grew to be one of the largest installation companies in the state before downsizing and refocusing into the smaller operation we are today.
Our core focus on quality and timeliness has remained our highest goal to this day.
What We Do
We manufacture sheet metal roofing and siding, primarily for commercial buildings. Our installers work on our own contracts, but we also supply other companies who specialize in installation on both commercial and residential job sites. We also operate as a distributor to individual homeowners who large national suppliers will not deal with directly, producing tailored work for these customers.
We are not a large enough shop to produce panels in-house so we outsource those to one of several suppliers. Everything else is made in our own shop: Flashing (eaves, gables, ridge cap, etc.), chase covers, downspout, small copper awnings, or anything else you need.
Who We Serve
Commercial Projects
Our installers work on roofing and siding everything from coffee shops to large commercial buildings. On one of our recent jobs, they sided several large warehouses, installed downspouts and collector boxes, and built truck canopies down the sides of the buildings.
Homeowners
We provide custom metal roofing and siding packages for homeowners. Our accessibility allows you to speak to experienced installers for instruction and advice. Sometimes we will do small custom projects such as countertop backsplashes, stove vent covers, or other detailed interior/exterior work for homes. We order 4’x10’ sheets and cut and manipulate them into whatever shape or design is needed.
Where We Work
We primarily serve Pierce, Thurston, and King Counties. But over the last decade, we've installed and/or supplied products in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii.

As a testament to our service, we have not paid for advertising in well over 10 years. Our business is based on repeat customers and word-of-mouth.
